Dr. Amjad Saqib a medical graduate from King Edward Medical College was selected for the nation’s topmost bureaucratic institution, the elite Civil Service of Pakistan in 1985. Having stood out as a public servant, right when his career was about to move towards higher echelons, he resigned in 2003 with the intent to dedicate himself to becoming a social entrepreneur and make a difference in societal change through Akhuwat – which had already been launched in 2001 and had meanwhile started taking strides towards the force it was to become.

Dr. Anila Zulfiqar

Her creative work is based on the cultural heritage of Lahore, women's experiences, and visual language. She has participated in art exhibitions at national and international levels. Fiction writing and critical essays on art are also important means of expression for her.






Dr. Atta Ur Rahman
Atta-ur-Rahman, FRS, D.Phil., TI, SI HI, NI, is a leading scientist and scholar in the field of organic chemistry from Pakistan, especially renowned for his research in the various areas relating to natural product chemistry. With over 947 publications in the field of his expertise including 135 books largely published by leading publishers in Europe and USA and 35 patents, he is also credited for reviving the higher education and research practices in Pakistan.

Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa
Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa, is a Pakistani civilian military scientist, geo-strategist, author, former bureaucrat and political commentator. She regularly writes critical columns for reputable English language newspapers, including Dawn newspapers, Daily Times and Express Tribune. Her column appears every Friday. She previously served as a Visiting Scholar at the Johns Hopkins University.
